OCR GCSE Science marking and feedback

Combined science covers the same skills across six papers with less content depth. We mark whole papers or single disciplines, whichever fits the student's revision plan. OCR questions lean on applying knowledge to unfamiliar contexts, so the gap between knowing a topic and scoring on it is wider than on other boards. That gap only shows up under timed conditions.

Every script is read by a team of biology, chemistry and physics specialists. You get the paper back annotated, with a topic-level percentage and an indicative grade against real boundaries, not a self-marked tick list.
