Terms of service
Last updated 12 January 2026.
1. Agreement
These terms form a contract between you and GCSE Feedback Ltd when you create an account or buy a marking service. If you are under 18, an adult must hold the account and agree to these terms on your behalf.
2. What we provide
We provide practice papers and topic tests, and marking of submitted work by a qualified UK teacher or examiner against the relevant published mark scheme. Marking includes annotations, a topic breakdown, an indicative grade and written next steps.
3. Grade estimates are estimates
Indicative grades are mapped to previously published boundaries, which change every year with cohort performance. They describe how the script would have scored in a past series. They are not a prediction of your result and must not be used as a predicted grade for applications.
4. Turnaround
Standard turnaround is 48 hours from receipt of a legible submission; priority is 24 hours where offered. Turnaround may extend during peak periods, and we will tell you if it does. Illegible uploads restart the clock once a readable version is received.
5. Payment and subscriptions
Individual papers are paid for at checkout. Subscriptions renew automatically at the stated interval until cancelled and can be cancelled at any time from your account, taking effect at the end of the current billing period. Prices include VAT where applicable.
6. Refunds
- Unmarked, unused credits are refundable in full within 14 days of purchase.
- Once a script has been marked, that credit has been consumed and is not refundable.
- If marking is materially late or falls below our standard, tell us within 14 days and we will re-mark it or refund it.
- Subscription refunds are pro-rated only where required by law.
7. Acceptable use
Submit only your own work, or, for schools and tutors, work you are authorised to submit. Do not resell, redistribute or publish our papers, mark schemes or reports. Do not submit coursework or non-examination assessment intended for board submission, marking it would breach board regulations and we will decline it.
8. Intellectual property
Our papers, reports and site content remain our property, licensed to you for personal or single-institution educational use. Your uploaded work remains yours; you grant us the licence needed to mark, store and return it, and to use anonymised extracts for marker training and quality assurance.
9. Schools and organisations
Institutional accounts may be governed by a separate written agreement, including invoicing terms, data processing terms and volume pricing. Where that agreement conflicts with these terms, it prevails.
10. Liability
We do not limit liability for death, personal injury or fraud. Otherwise our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for examination outcomes.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. Questions: legal@gcsefeedback.co.uk.
