How we keep the marking consistent

A Chemistry script is read by someone who teaches Chemistry. We never cross-assign across subjects to clear a queue.
Standardisation before live marking
Every evaluator marks a calibration set against the official mark scheme and must sit within tolerance before being given real scripts.
Sampled moderation
A senior evaluator re-reads a sample from every batch. Drift is corrected before reports are released.
